The WPI competition is fast approaching and the team still has lots to test and debug. With only a little over two hours left to have the robot out of the bag before it had to be re-tagged, there was a flurry of activity everywhere at the school. There was much to do in preparation for the limited out of bag time, and still quite a lot to prepare after the robot was re-bagged. Even after midnight, despite all the heavy eyelids, Mr. Fordiani’s room was buzzing with energy: the pit crew and helpers were organizing tools and spare parts to load into the advanced team’s cars immediately after school later that day, team members were working together to prepare the classrooms and shops for the school day to start in just a few short hours, a few diehards were painting the last of the team numbers onto the blue and red bumpers, and at another table one team member was working on software and another team member was soldering. That these students can run on such little sleep and still function during the school day is a true testament to their dedication!
